It's Edna Rose Hitchings married the already-aged black cult leader Father Divine.
She was described as being a "wealthy white woman" in one article and was only 21 when she married the 71-year-old Divine on April 29, 1946.
She is listed as being from Vancouver but apparently made it via Montreal according to all of the articles from the time that list her as being from here. She stayed true to the cause and I think she's still alive, having gone through some weird episode where she attempted to co-opt the Jim Jones death cult. You can find interviews with her on YouTube but they're extremely dull.
