Montreal's sex criminal map

The Journal de Montreal recently mapped out the homes of everybody who has been accused of a sex-related crime over the last year. The map, which on the JDM site behind a paywall, can be zoomed in but not to the point of determining exact homes.
It's no big surprise to see that the supposed villains largely live in the poorest-parts of town, specifically The Point, Park Ex and the East End.
In Westmount there wasn't a single person accused or convicted of a sex crime over the last year, same for everything on the island west of St. Charles Blvd.
Here's a few snippets from the map: Click on the images if you need to see them bigger.

Mtl North
Montreal North contained what looks like possible the city's highest concentration.

TMR/Park Ex
TMR had pretty much no accused sex criminals but its poorer-twin across Acadie has a fair number, a ratio of 10:1.

Verdun / the Point
Verdun had about six convicted or alleged sex criminals. I would have assumed there would be more based on my knowledge of the east side of that town. The Point had several, including a few along Charlevoix, which is where Luc Magnotta once lived and Jolene Riendeau was abducted and killed.

Davidson and Notre Dame
And one curious little pocket at Davidson and Notre Dame had 4 in a tiny perimeter.

  1. Nothing to be overly concerned about.

Montreal still has one of the lowest violent crime rates for a city its size, particularly when compared with the U.S.

Let's hope it stays that way.

You correctly point out that this is a map of those accused, i.e. not convicted. Why are you collaborating with the J de M's hate messages?

  4. On April 5, 1906 there occurred the heinous murder of 5-year-old Edith Ahern in the district of Cote St. Paul. See:
