. Ste. Catherine and Chomedey. At the time this pic was taken by Conrad Poirier in January, 1948, it was home to Toledo Motors (later Cooke-Toledo Motors) at 2134 Ste. Catherine West.
It looks so familiar. I’m taking a guess. I think it was not only a garage but also a Hertz Rent-A-Car depot and I think it was on Guy street, just below Ste. Catherine. (or it looks like another I remember on Lajeunesse street near Jarry).
This is the former Omer Deserres building at 2134 St. Catherine West. It was once the Ambassador Garage. It will be demolished to be make room for the 12 floor La 4ine condo project.
