So I'm like...hey..what's up with that?

Building just south (err, actually North, as a reader pointed out) of City Hall getting gutted, a rather spectacular sight in the area. Did I miss the memo? Seemed like a perfectly good building from the outside. Anybody got the heads up?

It's actually north of city hall, but down the hill. I walked past it yesterday but couldn't make out any signs.

I saw that demolition (construction?) site a few days ago and wondered the same thing. Is this an opening salvo in the CHUM expansion?

For the CHUM, they will also destroy the former Trinity/St-Sauveur church corner St-Denis and Viger. That one was built around 1865. That's a shame...
