Juno, 29 & Jacki, 33 - as they were known in Montreal nightclub circles when this photo was shot 40 years ago - became notable enough for a movie to be made about 'em. Anybody? Yes this is indeed the Quebecoise Jeanne Schneider and Frenchman Jacques Mesrine. He was one of the most all-time storied criminals here along with Richard Blass. Although of course he did most of his considerable mayhem back home. There was a reasonably good movie done on them not long ago.

ReplyDeleteJuno got pregnant at 15 and gave up her baby to this couple in the next town over. But the man bailed so it was just the woman left.
Shenanigans all around and that Juno is quite the wit.
