The Coolopolis Montreal's cheapest home index

Here at Coolopolis the interns are frequently ordered to cut their erotica time to search for the city's cheapest home. Alas, due to the most recent intern rebellion, our data has been erased from the files after several laptops were tossed from Coolopolis towers. But anecdotally we've seen that the unofficial line of $200,000 for the island's cheapest house has been sliding downwards, even though mortgages rates have not risen. Perhaps this is due to a worse-than-expected local recession. We can see a couple of dozen houses under that price on www.mls.ca, but nothing matching this deal in RDP. For about $9,000 down, and that includes notaries, CMHC mortgage insurance, etc, you can buy this place and pay $216 per month to live there. On the upside it has three parking spaces, on the downside it's one of the island's approximately 195 mobile homes, the average price of which has doubled to $52,000 since 2005.
