Verdun accordion 1934 tug of war

 
 You've surely heard the old joke about the guy who left an accordion in a car and when he returned, he discovered a terrible thing had happened: there were two accordions in the car upon his arrival.
   It wasn't always like that, at 3607 Gertrude in Verdun in 1934 a rooming house tenant was so desperate to get his accordion back that he cracked his former landlady on the head with an iron back, thus fracturing her skull. She was holding onto his musical instrument as collateral for a $70 rent debt the guy owed. (article page 4, cannot link directly)
