This building sits at the foot of Berri, right near Common, east side, technically corner de la Friponne, which is just a tiny laneway. It's notable for its octagonal, floral-themed turret which has been demolished sometime over the last twenty years.
Half a century ago the tavern was known as The Palangio although it's unknown whether it was named after hockey journeyman Peter Palangio who played a few games here in the 1920s.
It is now owned by something called Candice Soave Holdings.
