Tommy Lasora worked here in Montreal for pretty much the entire 1950s and he's still married to this woman with whom he recently celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary.
He was a competent minor league lefty who eventually managed the Los Angeles Dodgers for over 20 years. He turned down the Expos managing post in 1975 prior to being hired as Dodger skipper.
Said to have lived on Waverly near Jean Talon from 1950 to 1960 about. He says he would liked to have spent winters here too but found it too cold.
