Do authorities rifle the pockets of corpses to get their cash?

I heard a story from jack-of-all-trades, hardworking fixit guy Dale Gaudin, left.
The eligible bachelor, seen on Wellington and Desmarchais about two years back, told me a story that has lingered on in my mind.
He was working as a janitor in a fine building in Verdun, where a man died.
That man had, sadly, deceased rather suddenly. Dale knows that the man had about $200 in his pockets when death called his name.
When officials took the body away, the pockets were mysteriously empty and Dale has wondered ever since why that might have happened. Any ideas?
Anyway, I'm thinking of naming Dale this weeks Coolopolis Man of the Year. Do you think he's worthy?

  1. Yeah, go on, name him Coolopolis Man of the Year. I miss jack-of-all-trades, hardworking fixit guys that know everything and everyone, you don't really get them over here. Maybe it's a Montreal thing?

  3. Dale's got an awesome hoser banter. Talks a lot. Talks fast, "Hey Kris..." and then it starts. (often ending with 'hey could you lend me five bucks?') Both his parents died not long ago. His wife wasn't all that reliable either, let's just put it that way. (Understatement of all time). So yeah he's endured a lot. I wish him well, haven't spoken to him for a while though.

  4. No, but gravediggers find and save wedding bands, which are often buried with people.
