Lest we discuss the s word

Guy Charbonneau, about 40, a farmer from St. Lin, brought 20 sticks of dynamite to his hotel room on the fourth floor of the Queen's Hotel on April 15, 1959. He laid down and lit 'em up. KABOOM ! Your wake up call sir!
That wing of the hotel had been built before 1900 and was dubbed Canada's only fire-proof building.
A few others were a somewhat injured but nothing serious...

Suicide reduction possibly due to the anti-suicide fence on the Pont jacques Cartier Bridge?

As well, the pont mercier has been closed to foot traffic for a couple of years and will reopen with anti-suicide barrier.

A few years ago I saw a person on the ground as a result of a pont jacques cartier fall, and I don't ever want to see that again.

After the Jacques-Cartier bridge suicide barrier was built, suicides in the Metro increased dramatically.
