Coolopolis gets love, monkey gets snub

Chimples is irritated again because I didn't mention
him in a recent interview about Coolopolis
Very flattered to read a well-written article about this site by Ceren Eroglu in the current edition of the McGill Daily.
Chimples, the resident simian who does the heavy lifting here is, alas, a bit irritated that I didn't give him his due credit for the fine success achieved by this site, which has been exploding in recent weeks, thanks largely to the weirdos-psychos-perverts and other suspicious characters who come to Coolopolis to read lurid stories about Montreal criminals.
I also failed to disclose the fact that this site is partially-supported by a controversial Swiss neurosurgeon that created and maintains the chip that has given Chimples his super-brainpower, a great device except when it pops loose. That neurosurgeon's work may or may not be certified by the medical community so I can't really say much more than that about it.
So if the quality dips a bit for a while, it might be because Chimples is brooding again.
In my phoner, I gave full props, however, to the readers of this site who serve as urban luminaries by leaving excellent feedback in the comments section.
And secondly, in an entirely different, unrelated subject, please take a peek at this feature article I recently wrote for the Montreal Gazette about the state of parking lots in Montreal which are fast being gobbled up to be transformed as condo towers.
The change came about by zoning adjustments, which rewards the parking-lot owners by allowing them to build higher structures than they once had the right to build. Meanwhile they are forced to pay a much higher taxes for parking lots, so it's the carrot and the stick at work.
The article also explores other parking-related issues as well. As I've mentioned, I spent my formative years working on Montreal parking lots, so it's a subject close to my heart.
And thirdly I was interviewed by the excellent Adam Bemma about the history of the demise of the Overdale block on a radio interview on CKUT which played this morning, it goes on for a good 15 minutes.  Here's the link, the interview starts at about 21:20.

Praise that is, for once, well-deserved.
Was not aware, however, that you, your family, and the monkey now live downtown.....
