  1. According to Lovell's of the late 1930s, Main Plumbing was at 921 St. Lawrence, an address that no longer exists today.

I place your photo just north of Viger facing the east side of St. Lawrence.

  2. Update:

Main Plumbing moved to 1059 St. Lawrence in the early 1940s directly across from the ancient grey fieldstone-type building on the west side seen in your photo and which still exists today--now the heart of Chinatown.

St Laurent looking north from Craig St., like Urban said, earliest 1936 as that is when all those business' appear at the same time... Of course this is now the Ville Marie expressway as W.H. Perron, as far as I can tell, sat on what is now the parking lot at Viger and St. Laurent in China Town.

That's right, I finally figured out how get Lovell's too. I'm coming for you Urban!

  4. Bravo, Erydan!

You can't expect me to do ALL the work in here now, can you? ;-)

Maybe now I can just sit back and let some of you guys and gals do some of the archival "excavation work". LOL.
