This home on Upper Belmont belongs to fabled Quebec filmmaker Denys Arcand, maker of such classix as The Decline of the American Empire and Jesus of Montreal, which I seem to recall, ends with the protagonist dies because they brought him to an inefficient and overcrowded French hospital rather than a sparesely-populated and spic-and-span English hospital, a story twist which always gave me a chuckle.
Denys Arcand?

Also as a sde note I am going to the MArch 8th concert here in Victoria BC
It is the only BC date on this tour as far as I know.
Cheers to all Montrealers.....
haven't lived there since the 70's but still consider myself a Montrealer (Mun-trealer) lol
ReplyDeleteNot sure if he or the family still retain ownership of this property but I believe William Shatner lived there at one time.
Is Jesus of Montreal worth watching if I'm interested in Montreal scenery from the late 80s?
