Yves Levesque, 23, breathed his last frosty breath on the south shore on Jan. 7, 1972 at 3 a.m. in the parking lot of Motel Simard on Taschereau Boul.
Levesque was wanted by the police and when they saw him in a taxi, a shootout ensued, which turned the cab into a movable piece of Swiss cheese.
Levesque was not killed by police fire. He opted to shoot himself rather than allow the police to capture him and put him in jail on charges of attempted murder.
