Murder in Verdun

An eastern enclave of Verdun was the site of a murder Friday, as a man named Peter Clement, 45, was killed with a knife on a balcony at 3862 Allen.
He struggled downstairs where he died.
Clement was an English-speaking drug dealer familiar to the area but who lived in an apartment opposite the Verdun Hospital.
Clement was an English speaker who could speak French, but with an English accent and had grey-and-black hair.
Clement and a friend started dealing crack together but alas the lure of consumption led to some serious debts.
He was supposedly beaten and stabbed to death by two men who fit the ethnic profile (black) of the partner.
The block sits south of Lasalle Ave in a densely-populated, somewhat drug-plagued area inhabited by many people who are day patients of the Douglas mental hospital.
By some coincidence a woman was tossed to her death from a balcony in the building next door at 3860 Allen in 1978.
The owners of the apartment building are Diane Gaudreau and Paul Lagace.
