Murderous random attacker of the Main dead at 40

   Jason Sivret, the man who randomly attacked and beat a 67-year-old woman to death after he was turfed from the Kingdom strip club in July 2013 has died. (Thanks to D.C. Montreal for tip).
   He was 40 years of age (in fact more likely 39, but who's counting?- Chimples).
   He was awaiting trial or sentencing after being charged with second degree murder at the time of his death. (Sivret's legal-aide lawyer Elfriede Duclervil did not return Coolopolis's message asking what was happening in his case).
   No cause of death was provided for Jason Sivret's demise but the use of "tragically" indicates that he had loved ones, including a son named Christian Ireland.
    The notation suggests that his death was unexpected so there's a possibility that something happened to him behind bars. It's most likely a suicide but he might also have been killed.
    Sivret was a schizophrenic whose condition had worsened in recent years.
   He spent time bouncing back and forth between his mother's in Ontario and in his hometown of Fredricton.
   On July 28, 2013 Sivret went to the Cleopatra strip club on the Main and stayed that for a few uneventful hours. Bouncers did not know him and he was not a regular. A bouncer from Cleo's told me that Sivret then went to the peep shows across the street for some time.
   The peep shows have since been closed down but they were known as a place where people would watch porno movies and sometimes smoke crack.
   He then proceeded to the Kingdom where he was tossed out for misbehaviour and then proceeded a few steps south where he committed his fatal deed.
   He took a pipe fitters course about 15 years ago but did not have a job, according to a family member I interviewed Tuesday. His mother did not reveal the cause of death when she talked to family members.

   Sivret had a history of making random violent attacks in his hometown of Fredericton before coming to Montreal where he punched and kicked Yuk Ngor Tam, causing her death.
   Sivret was apparently enraged after being tossed from the strip club for misbehaviour.
   Sivret had previously left a man in his sixties with a six-stitch forehead cut after attacking him with a bicycle lock for no apparent reason in Fredericton in 2008. He offered to spend time in a mental institution after that instead was sentenced to six months.
   Sivret's newphew Denis Sivret Jr., then 22,  randomly punched a homeless man leading to manslaughter charges in 2008.
   Sivret's brother Denis Sivret died two years ago in Fredericton at the age of 57, just months before Sivret made the fatal random attack. His father Edmond Sivret, who worked as a pipe fitter, lived to 71, dying in 2005.
