Montreal wh'appened? - things that make you go "hmm..."..

    The "hut" is a pumping station for one of the main collector sewers. There are a whole bunch of them around the island, but this is probably about as decorative as they get.

    And c'mon.. don't tell me you want to take down the Notre Dame viaduct. Where would people park their cars and where would all the homeless sleep at night?! As for why it's there in the first place it was allow for transportation across the railway tracks that used to be there. I actually kinda like it.

    The "neat little house" was condemned and demolished about two years ago.

    And I would imagine that the rusted fence is to prevent people from trying to climb over the guardrail.

  3. The viaduct is there to protect an old segment of the original city wall.

    Yeah, kind of silly, I know... Probably could have been done in a smarter way.

    (your blog is great, by the way. I just randomly found it and am now kind of addicted.)
