Some Montreal madams busted for arranging prostitution in the late 1960s



Victoria Juteau, 45, of 4029 Jean Talon, was earning $200 to $300 per week and also receiving $105 per week on welfare payments. She fielded calls from clients and then called one of four women who might be able to provide sexual services for the customer. A judge fined her $800. Failing to pay would lead to one year in prison. From La Patrie 14 April 1968.

aged 35 when charged in April 1967. Others included Antonina Fieri, 39, Marche Lavigne, 38, Francine-L. Berube, 35, aka Jacqueline Blais and Claudette Cypihot. Rates ranged from $15 5o $100 bu were usually $450.

  5. I knew right away they were madams.What else would women have been arrested for and be 'notorious' for in 1969? and yet, still look well groomed in their mugshots?
