Montreal's Manic GT

This is indeed one of the few existing Manic GTs.  It's a Quebec made car whose investors included Qweebeck's pension fund, Steinberg's and Gitanes.
Renault PR guy Jacques About, in 1970 had a dream of a very-light fiberglass-bodied car with a big rear-based engine, using Renault parts. About was born in 1938 in Paris, father being Italian and mother being Vietnamese.
His entire family ended up in a Japanese concentration camp for seven years while he was young.
He came to Montreal to go to Stanislaus at age 17.
After raising a million bucks they planned to pump out about 2,000 of these a year but only created 120 or so because there were a lot of snafus and everything went fubar. About, now in his early 70s, has been running a school for some time.

As I recall, all the Opels had a benign cyst on the front hood.

I got this quiz idea from a book on Levesque, of all places. No, this pic I submitted of a wrecked car doesn't refer to Rene hitting someone while driving.
