The one on the left has proven a mystery for two years. The one on the right was featured on Unsolved Mysteries in a separate case years earlier.
The brother on the left hasn't been seen for two years. That's the mystery about him.
The one on the right had an unlikely journey from athletics to where he is now.
Mario Marabella on the left. On December 4, 2008 at 4 pm the 6'1" 235 pound 40 year old was at a gas station in Laval when he was kidnapped. His car was found in Montreal north aflame and he was never seen since.
He had convictions for extortion, loan sharking, armed robbery of a liquor truck and breaking probation and was tied in with the Rizzuto clan. He managed a Mafia hangout cafe on Langelier and was also regularly seen at Bull's Cafe 5586 Jean Talon East which the liquor board gave a hard time to because it was a hangout for Paolo Gervasi - the old owner of the Castel Tina who was murdered - and his son Salvatore Gervasi. He also had a thing where he owed $150,000 to Tony Papa, who had his own share of issues with the law that led his assets to be frozen by the feds.
Tony Marabella, his brother, on the right. He's about 37 now. He was a local boy signed by the Expos to play third base as he had been hitting the cover off the ball in the local league.
He was sent to Idaho where he apparently banged his head, got amnesia and started hitting a much better clip. This earned him a segment on episode 371 of Unsolved Mysteries.
But the miracle was short lived and he struggled at the plate so badly that the Expos released him after a handful of at bats at AA. He was out of baseball by the time the segment aired. He came back to Montreal and around 2002 was convicted on a loansharking and weapons charges.
