Murderer, cop, genius - which was which?

The genius is at the left: Jack Greenblatt, best student in the entire province in 1963, now some kinda prof in Toronto.
Middle guy is the high-profile sex murderer Marcel Bernier, who in 1961 lured 16 year old honours student Denise Therrien into a fake babysitting job in Shawinigan only to rape and murder her. While she was missing he visited the parents to express his rage at the person who did that terrible thing to her. At the time it was not known that any terrible thing had been done to her. He apparently beat a lie detector but eventually confessed and was sentenced in 1966. Gave details of his crime to a police jailhouse plant. He died in prison 11 years after his sentence began.
On the right Louis Hains, 32, was a police officer who - along with two other cops - ran a theft sideline in Montreal North in 1961.

    Left is the crooked cop.
    middle is the genius.
    right is the killer.

So what do I win? Should I pick it up or is it delivered?

I think it's a trick question. They all look like geniuses, so it's possible they're also murderers and crooked cops as well.

  5. The cop pic on right was obvious to me. Took 1000's of cop I.D. pics, and the head-on pose, plain background, and flat lighting was always the same.

We used a mugshot setup, with an adjustable I.D. number apparatus that appeared along the bottom of the final photo.
