Mooks of Montreal: According to Mook Life, which seems to have a big NDG component, this is Ian a "homosexual crackhead" who hangs around Trenholme Park. He is apparently a heckuva guy. More scintillating mook info at this brilliant site.


Another coolopolis reader sent us this proposed new Project Montreal logo improved for accuracy.

And it is said that some do not actually read Coolopolis, so Chimples got on the blower and did a readership survey.

    Sixty years ago there was a pedestrian underpass beneath Sherbrooke to Trenholme Park with the North entrance stairs on the North East corner of King Edward.

    You could stand beneath Sherbrooke and listen to the streetcars thunder over up above.

    On certain summer evenings before TV took over, they used to show open-air public films on a screen at the Southern end of the park towards the bottom of the down slope.

    Western/De Maisonneuve between Decarie and Coffee ( which did not get built until 1957 ) was still half a decade in the future.

    Passenger trains would pass by during the film feature, and toot their whistles.

    I would say this view is looking to the North from the park.
