  1. The parking prices at the new hospital are deeply offensive. It should be free for people to access healthcare facilities, but fine, if they insist on charging, it needs to be in the sensible range. This is profiteering. No way in hell should people have to pay that much. cut it down to 1/3 of that and it would still be expensive, IMHO.

I know it's not the MUHC doing it since the SNC-Lavalin slimeballs own and operate the building.

They paid people off, took kickbacks during construction and even rigged the contract by having their representative on the MUHC board sabotage the other bids. I could go on listing dozens of other illegal things they have done, but I won't since hey- it's just a blog comment. Now they steal from the sick and their families?

They should hand the hospital over to the MUHC and pay back the contract... if they did that I'd be willing to drop any criminal charges against the company executives.

  2. There's a manufactured consent that precedes the screwing of the consumer.
Home electricity costs keep rising because we have all agree that wasting electricity is bad. Gas prices keep going up because heck driving is bad for the environment.
Parking costs rise because driving cars in the city is a sin.
The fight has to be fought before it ever gets to this point, too little is being done to control the narrative at the earlier stage.
Sure parking lots might not be beautiful but they serve a purpose. Maybe someone could find a spot somewhere near the superhospital and open one to increase supply and lower prices.

  4. Those bikes at Costco should be cut in half with a Sawzall and hung on that fence as a warning to other idiots.

  5. Hmmmm. Maybe Quebec Parking can now subsidize Alberta as the oil has gone to Hell.
And the 'Have Nots' can suck up to Quebec for a change??

    Thank You.
